I believe that Rappel was extremely ahead of its time. Only now, some 8 years later, are we seeing the proliferation of design systems and prototyping tools. With Rappel (short for “Rapid Prototyping Library”), designers and others not familiar with JavaScript could add style and robust functionality to HTML by simply applying CSS classes to their markup.

The code was never meant to be production-friendly, freeing me up to think in unrestricted ways on how to utilize simple HTML markup to power amazing, interactive, and dynamic functionality.
