Design & Engineering | 1st Place Salesforce Hackathon
--
Today, it’s hard to imagine not being able to talk to applications and devices in order to create content, shopping lists, play music, or massage your feet (does that exist?). But, in 2015, all we really had was a very basic Siri. Even then, it would have been a tremendous amount of work to build the services layer for iOS in order to allow Siri to interact with Salesforce in any meaningful way.
Instead, with this hackathon, I demonstrated the pragmatic and simple implementation of pattern recognition inside strings to do 90% of what Natural Language Processing or more substantial API-level integrations might be able to accomplish in order to quickly interact with data and systems.
