Lightning App Builder (LAB) is a tool that represents the customization experiences where Salesforce users go to configure, define, build, and change Lighting Apps in a low-code WYSIWYG tool.

I led the design initiatives for Lightning App Builder for 1.5 years, primarily designing visionary features that challenged the status quo of the existing feature set. Much of the work I delivered during this time was strategic collaborations with the VP of Customization and was used to inspire, ideate, and push the boundaries of what we could do with the tool.

LAB is a powerful tool, but it often lacks the nuanced details that make an experience delightful. Here, an exploration of the builder transitioning from a Build mode to a Preview mode. This was utilized to help the development team improve their CSS abilities.

The following are excerpts from a long-range conceptual deck that was assembled with the help of Research and Product. It was used to guide the direction of the product space and inform the team on where we were headed as an organization.
